What is the Opendoor Classic?

The Opendoor Classic is a golf tournament hosted by Opendoor Church to help with the cost of Overflow, our annual church summer camp for Opendoor Youth.

In 2012, Opendoor Youth launched it's first summer camp in Myrtle Beach, SC. Over the past 4 years we have seen God do incredible things through this camp. Our first year we took just around 40 people and in 2016 we took over 180 people to camp. Year-after-year we have been in awe at what God has done in the lives of our students and the staff we take.

As you can imagine, the cost of camp is not easily available or affordable for everyone. It is our desire to send as many students to camp, regardless of their financial situation. To do this, we host several fundraisers throughout the year and one of those is The Opendoor Classic.

The Opendoor Classic is not only a golf tournament, it is a chance for you to impact the lives of the next generation. Proceeds will go to help with the costs of camp and to sponsor students so they can experience all God has for them during the incredible week of Overflow.

When/Where is the Opendoor Classic?

The Opendoor Classic is Monday, June 19 2017 at Ironwood Golf & Country Club. Registration, lunch and the driving range opens at 11:30am. Shotgun start at 1:00pm.

What does the registration or sponsorship include?

  • Team Registration: The team fee includes a four man team into our event, a special gift , a chance to win prizes and lunch.
  • Title Sponsor: Name on our Title Banner, Hole Sign and Team Registration.
  • Gold Sponsor: A Hole Sign and Team Registration.
  • Hole Sponsor: A Hole Sign advertising your business or anything you would like to advertise.

How will the tournament be formatted?

We will do a shotgun start to the event and it will be a four man best ball format.

Will this event be handicapped?

Yes. We will have prizes for our first and second place winners in the net category and the gross category. Our hope is that everyone attending this event will be able to have a chance to win!

Will there be mulligans or red tee busters?

Yes. We will have a Mulligan/Red Tee Buster Pack for sale on the day of the tournament for $25 per person. It will include one mulligan and red tee buster per 9 holes.
